A winemaking philosophy rooted in nature
At Guerrini, our wines are a pure expression of the grape and terroir, shaped by a minimal-intervention approach both in the vineyard and the cellar. We believe great wine comes from respecting the balance of nature, which is why three-quarters of our estate remains forest, leaving only 22 of our 81 acres to vines. This harmony between vineyard, wildlife, and environment allows us to craft refined, elegant wines that reflect their origins without the interference of unnecessary chemicals or additives.
A Family legacy among the Vineyards
The Guerrini family’s story rooted in the late 19th century, when local farmers began cultivating the vines of what is now Guerrini. In 1958, our family made wine a central part of our lives, becoming the first in Rome to distribute wine. To say, the vineyard is our sanctuary, where we nurture the vines, honor our heritage, and share our passion for wine and nature.

Umbria, the green heart of Italy
We are located in Umbria, known as the “Green Heart of Italy”. A region of gentle hills, beautiful landscapes, and rich history. Our vineyards thrive at 500-600 metres on hills: this unique elevation provides ideal conditions and a microclimate, enhancing flavours and quality of the grape cultivations, especially Pinot Noir.

Grapes, hand-harvested and delivered to the winery in small crates, are carefully selected, destemmed, and gently pressed to keep the berries largely intact as they are transferred into stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is carried out at controlled temperatures, with particular attention given to preserving aromas, extracting color, and managing tannin extraction. Racking is determined through continuous, careful tastings, and the wine is deemed ready to begin its oak maturation. Only new French oak barriques are used. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrique and is completed the spring following the harvest. The wine spends 9 months maturing in wood, followed by an additional 2 months in stainless steel before bottling.
Sensory Profile
Complex and elegant. Notes of small red fruits—particularly raspberry and cherry—and floral hints are evident, accompanied by a subtle touch of spice. There is perfect harmony between the bouquet and palate. On tasting, red fruit flavors are complemented by a well-balanced tannic structure, refined by lively acidity. The wine is soft and balanced on the palate.

Hand-harvested grapes are gently low-pressure pressed to separate them from the skins, with the characteristic rosé color resulting from a very brief skin contact. The must then undergoes primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures. Upon completion of this fermentation, sugar and selected yeasts are added, initiating a secondary fermentation directly in the bottle. During this in-bottle fermentation, the bottles are manually rotated to optimize contact with the lees. Finally, the wine matures on its lees for a minimum of three years before disgorgement.
Sensory Profile
Complex and elegant. Notes of small red fruits—particularly raspberry and cherry—and floral The cherry is combined with the typical scents of the Metodo Classico: yeast and bread crust. Full and balanced. Marked acidity and good flavor. Creamy foam.

Winemaking
Hand-harvested grapes are collected when they have reached the optimal balance between acidity and sugar, typically in the latter half of August. The selected grapes are then brought to the winery where they are destemmed and gently pressed, initiating a brief cold maceration directly in the press. The must is subsequently separated from the solids through an extremely delicate pressing process and transferred to stainless steel tanks. Here, alcoholic fermentation occurs at approximately 12°C—a low temperature essential for preserving the varietal fruit aromas. Upon completion of fermentation, the wine undergoes sur lie aging on fine lees for about 2-3 months before bottling
Sensory Profile
Complex, refined, and precise in its sensory profile, with fragrant notes evocative of cherry. On the palate, it is approachable and exceptionally drinkable, offering a harmonious balance defined by a pleasantly measured acidity.

Winemaking
Grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously selected, discarding berries that are overly ripe or sun-scorched. After destemming and gentle pressing, the grapes undergo several hours of cryomaceration in the press to maximize the extraction of aromatic compounds. The must is obtained with delicate pressure to prevent the extraction of undesirable compounds and the rupture of seeds. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Once the desired level of residual sugar is achieved, the temperature of the tank is drastically lowered to near freezing, effectively halting fermentation. Following a period of sur lie aging at low temperatures in stainless steel, the wine is bottled.
Sensory Profile
Highly aromatic, with pronounced fruity notes typical of this variety, complemented by hints of citrus and sage that carry through to the palate. It boasts a solid acidic backbone, a refreshing quality, and a soft texture. The tasting experience is further enhanced by a subtle sweetness on the finish, and the wine features a restrained alcohol level.
